General Notice

Vera Water and Power (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the 1MG Reservoir Recoating Project. Bids for construction of the Project will be received by the Owner via online submission only, until 11:00 PM, February 28, 2025 local time. Bids will be opened and read aloud virtually via the following link:

A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders and posted on the website.

The Project generally consists of recoating the interior and exterior of Vera’s 1MG reservoir as follows:

• Welded steel reservoir constructed in 1957, approximately 72’ dia. x 32’ high (shell)

• Complete removal of an existing interior coal tar coating

• Complete blast and recoating of the interior

• Complete removal, blast and recoating of the exterior

• Addition of operation and maintenance improvements related to safety railings, hatches, davit crane, ladders, electrical power and lighting

The BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be examined at the Issuing Office:

To Bid the project, Bidder shall download a full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS from http://www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs” and shall be on the Plan Holders List. Bids shall be submitted electronically via the Varela Plan Room website and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents. Vera Water and Power retains the right to reject any and all bids.

This project is funded through the Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds.
