Council approves committee appointments

SPOKANE VALLEY – The City Council unanimously approved a slate of committee appointments, filling important volunteer roles across multiple boards at its Jan. 7 meeting. The new appointees will serve on the Planning Commission, Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) Spokane Housing Authority Board, and more.

Councilman Al Merkel confirmed that Mayor Pam Haley conducted interviews with candidates and verified their job histories. Haley affirmed that the council reviewed applications, conducted interviews, and verified candidates’ qualifications.
