Cheney utility rates set to rise

CHENEY – Starting Jan. 2025, new utility rates will take effect for all Cheney residents and businesses. The changes, approved by the City Council in November 2024 under Resolution F-299, are based on a cost-of-service study conducted by the FCS Group, specialists in public sector utility and financial consulting.

The updated rates reflect increases across sewer, garbage, water, and electricity services:

• Residential service: $41.56 per month, up from $39.31.
