Honoring veterans with boughs
MEDICAL LAKE – The State Veterans Cemetery at Medical Lake will host its annual Veterans Holiday Remembrance ceremony on Saturday, December 14, at 12 p.m.
Following a brief ceremony, attendees are invited to place holiday boughs on grave sites to honor the memory of veterans. The cemetery, located at 21702 W. Espanola Road, will provide the boughs for the event.
The State Veterans Cemetery offers burial services for eligible U.S. veterans who have received an honorable or general discharge. These services extend to their dependents, including spouses and children.
The administration building at the cemetery houses a public information center, which includes a grave site locator kiosk for visitors seeking specific locations and pamphlets addressing frequently asked questions. These resources are designed to assist families and visitors in navigating the cemetery and understanding the services provided.
The Veterans Holiday Remembrance ceremony is open to all members of the community. It serves as a reminder of the courage, dedication, and sacrifices made by veterans and their families, particularly during the holiday season.
