The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 24-016 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 19th day of November 2024:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY AMENDING CHAPTERS 6.05 AND 7.50 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO USE OF AND CAMPING ON PUBLIC PROPERTY, INCLUDING PARKS, AND MATTERS RELATED THERETO. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend sections 6.05 & 7.50 of the Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC), (6.05) regulate certain activities with the city park and (7.50) prohibit camping on City-owned property using camping facilities and/or camping paraphernalia. Section 1 speaks to the amended portion of SVMC Chapter 6.05. Section 2 repeals SVMC 6.05.090. Section 3 states that the remainder of SVMC Chapter 6.05 remains unchanged. Section 4 Amends SVMC Chapter 7.50.015. Section 5 repeals SVMC 7.50.050. Section 6 states remainder of SVMC 7.50 remain unchanged. Section 7 speaks to severability and Section 8 provides for an effective date. The full text of Ordinance 24-016 is available at the City of Spokane Valley City offices as identified above.
