Annual Turkey Trot set to run
CHENEY – The 17th Annual Turkey Trot takes place on Nov. 28 at the high school, 460 N. 6th Street at 9:00 a.m.
This event is open to Thanksgiving Day walkers, runners and your dog, too. You can receive a ticket for drawings to win a turkey and other prizes.
Portion of the race fee will be donated to Cheney food bank.
WinterFest 2024 looms
AIRWAY HEIGHTS – The city hosts their annual WinterFest by ringing in the holiday season with family, friends and neighbors for 2024.
On Dec. 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the city will light up their community tree and fireworks show at Sunset Park.
On Dec. 7 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Kiwanis Club will be hosting a breakfast and pictures with Santa at the city recreation center.
Farmers Market slated
CHENEY – The Farmers Market group will be hosting a farmers market at Veterans Memorial Park on 4th Street across the street from the fire station on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This market features a wide range of vendors offering locally grown produce, flowers, raised meat, jams, scratch-made baked goods, tinctures, handcrafted arts, crafts jewelry and more.
Holiday Hoopla slated
CHENEY – Cheney Members Association hosts their second annual Holiday Hoopla on Dec. 6 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The evening will kick-off with the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the Cheney Library. Event-goers can enjoy live Christmas music, shopping, Santa’s workshop and more in the downtown area.
Arts tour set for Nov. 30
MEDICAL LAKE – The 14th Annual Slightly West of Spokane Artists Studio Tour will be held on Nov. 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The tour features 13 local artists in 7 different studios on a self-guided tour around the Cheney-Medical Lake area. The event is free to the public.
