SPOKANE — State Department of Fish and Wildlife has confirmed a second case of chronic wasting disease in a white-tailed deer harvested by a hunter during the opening weekend of the modern firearm deer season.
The hunter harvested the deer close in the Fairwood area of Spokane County, close to where the state’s first case of the disease was confirmed this summer.
