Elinor K. Best

Elinor K. Best of Cheney, passed away Oct. 2, 2024 at the age of 93 at Cheney Care Center. She was born June 18, 1931 to Hazel (Cox) and John Edmiston in Spokane, Wash. She attended elementary school in Marshall and graduated from Cheney High School in 1949. She attended one year of Kinmen Business School in Spokane.

In 1950 Elinor married Glenn Best and lived at the farm in Amber for 35 years. They divorced in 1986. They had three children-Glenna, Connie & Frank. Elinor started working in 1961 at Eastern Washington University in the Dean of Students Office as an administrative assistant for 2...
