CHENEY - Rain turned Tom Oswald Field into a muddy mess and seriously slowed down offenses in a Nov. 1 Greater Spokane League season-ending game between Cheney and Mt. Spokane.

And the result was as might be expected with the Wildcats enduring for a 7-3 win over the Blackhawks. The win allowed Mt. Spokane to earn a 3A state playoff berth.
