Fernandez overseeing refuges
CHENEY — Juliette Fernandez has been named as the new chief of the National Wildlife Refuge System in Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and the Pacific Islands.
Fernandez’s district includes Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge; she was previously the project leader at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge complex, which includes four refuges along the Columbia River near Vancouver.
