Child rape suspect found in Oregon

Arrest after months of investigation

KLAMATH FALLS, Or – Brandon T. Frackenpohl, a 34-year-old suspect in the rape of a child, was apprehended in Oregon on Oct. 23. Frackenpohl fled Airway Heights before law enforcement arrived after the rape had been reported.

A warrant for Frackenpohl’s arrest was issued by Spokane Superior Court on Sept. 16, charging him with first degree rape of a child and first degree child molestation. This followed an investigation that began in June, when the victim’s parents contacted 911, reporting that their child had disclosed the abuse.

By the time Airway Heights Police Department (AHPD) arrived, Frackenpohl had disappeared. It is believed that he traveled to Oregon shortly thereafter.

The AHPD acknowledged the cooperation of the U.S. Marshals Service, Klamath Falls Police Department, and Klamath County Sheriff’s Office in locating and arresting Frackenpohl.

He is expected to be transferred to the Spokane County Jail once the extradition process is finalized.
