Valley Christian wins district cross country title

SPOKANE VALLEY - Valley Christian High School's girls cross country team celebrated a strong performance at the District 6 1B Championships, finishing first overall. Led by Melissa Walker, who secured a second-place finish in the varsity girls' 5000-meter race with a time of 20:12.90, the team scored a total of 38 points.

Garfield-Palouse followed closely behind with 43 points, while Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame and Republic finished with 66 and 74 points, respectively. Walker's impressive run was a highlight of the day, showcasing her talent and determination, which contributed to her team's victory in the championship.

With this win, Valley Christian looks to build momentum as they head into the next stage of the season, demonstrating their strength and unity as a team.
