SPOKANE VALLEY - Valley Christian High School's girls cross country team celebrated a strong performance at the District 6 1B Championships, finishing first overall. Led by Melissa Walker, who secured a second-place finish in the varsity girls' 5000-meter race with a time of 20:12.90, the team scored a total of 38 points.
Garfield-Palouse followed closely behind with 43 points, while Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame and Republic finished with 66 and 74 points, respectively.
