SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Valley Library will host a series of events for adults from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1. Residents are invited to participate in various activities designed for adults and all ages.

CHAS mobile clinic coming to Spokane Valley

CHAS Health will host a mobile clinic at the Spokane Valley Library on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Diane E. Zahand Meeting Room West. Services available include medication refills, wound care, treatment for acute injuries and illnesses, referrals for primary care and specialists, lab draws, and flu and COVID vaccinations. This event is open to all ages and aims to provide essential health services to the community.

Homebuyer education seminar offered at library

A free Homebuyer Education Seminar will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Diane E. Zahand Meeting Room West. Hosted by SNAP Spokane instructors certified by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, the seminar will cover major aspects of the home-buying process. Attendees will receive a certification of completion, which can be used to apply for down-payment assistance. Registration is required; call 509.456.7627 ext. 4418 or register online to secure your spot.

Project Memory: digitizing home movies workshop

Learn how to preserve your home movies by joining the Project Memory workshop at the Spokane Valley Library on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm in the STCU Studio. Registration is required for this in-person event, where participants will discover various methods to transfer home-movie media into digital formats using the library’s archiving equipment. This workshop is open to adults (18+) and is designed to help you save and share your cherished memories.

WorkSource Spokane offers career guidance

WorkSource Spokane will provide drop-in career assistance on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm in Conference Room D at the Spokane Valley Library. Expert career coaches will be available for personalized guidance, including resume refinement, job-search strategies, and exploring new career opportunities. This service operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to all individuals seeking to enhance their career prospects.
