Halloween fun takes over this weekend

CHENEY – This weekend, a series of Halloween events for all ages will be held across the West Plains to celebrate the spooky season.

Medical Lake Fall Festival

Re*Imagine Medical Lake is hosting its annual Fall Festival this Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the high school bus loop. The festival will feature 20 decorated trunks for the Trunk-or-Treat event from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., along with a day-long cake walk.

Kids can enjoy activities such as pumpkin carving and pumpkin bowling, with free pumpkins provided. The Medical Lake Kiwanis Club will be giving away free bike helmets, and six brand-new bikes will also be raffled off. Additional fun includes inflatable toys, bouncy castles, a costume contest, and various games for children.

Cheney Trunk-or-Treat

Several “Trunk or Treat” events will be held throughout Cheney. The Cheney Members Association is hosting one at the upper EWU parking lot on Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., where members will hand out treats.

Additionally, Conoco and the Cheney Police Department will team up to host a family-friendly Trunk or Treat on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., offering candy in a safe environment with decorated cars.

Airway Heights Trunk or Treat

In Airway Heights, the Sunset Elementary School Trunk or Treat event will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Families are encouraged to wear costumes and decorate their vehicles with Halloween-themed items like pumpkins, spiders, and webs. Participants can enjoy going trunk to trunk collecting treats in this community-centered Halloween event.
