Celestial images

The night sky over Eastern Washington lit up with vibrant displays of the Northern Lights on Thursday, October 10. Photographers captured stunning images of the aurora borealis from various locations, including Davenport, Colfax, Tekoa, and Tekoa Mountain. The lights danced in shades of green and purple, creating a breathtaking view for those lucky enough to see them.

In addition to the aurora, the Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet made its appearance on Monday, October 14. The comet, visible with binoculars or a small telescope, added another celestial wonder to the week's list of astronomical events.
