New Yoke's store hosts grand opening

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – The new Yoke's Fresh Market opened its doors in Airway Heights on Monday, Oct. 14, bringing more grocery options to the growing community. The store, located at 11450 West 12th Avenue, spans 50,146 square feet and sits on land owned by the Kalispel Tribe, though it is not part of the Kalispel reservation.

Employees from the original Yoke's location at 12825 West Sunset Highway in Airway Heights have been relocated to the new store, ensuring a smooth transition and familiar faces for regular shoppers.

The project began when permit applications were filed on May 16, 2023, with the city of Spokane. Construction of the new store was handled through an interlocal agreement, with Spokane overseeing permits and inspections.

The store's parking lot includes electric vehicle charging station.

Yoke's aims to offer a wide selection of fresh produce, meat, and local goods, serving as a convenient option for Airway Heights residents and nearby areas.
