Little League launches Fall Fundraiser

CHENEY — West Plains Little League is engaged in its Fall Fundraising Campaign that looks to raise $8,000 for both capital improvements and other needs.

The organization looks to spend funds on an upgrade of its signature field at Salnave Park in Cheney as well as for equipment upgrades.

Opportunities to assist include purchase of 50/50 raffle tickets at $1 each or buy 10 and receive one free ticket. Sales run through Oct. 20 and the drawing will be held, Oct. 20, 5:30 p.m. at Salnave No. 2. (Use the QR code to purchase tickets.)

Another fundraiser, a Fall Ball Hit-A-Thon, will take place Saturday, Oct. 12. Pledges are based on the distance a player hits the ball. The team that raises the most money will earn a pizza party. There are also individual pledge amount prizes for first, second and third.

A hitting derby, also on Oct. 12, will be yet another leg of fund raising with the goal for each $2 donation of hitting a target.

West Plains Little League is a volunteer run organization that has been serving the youth in the West Plains area since 2004. The local program serves more than 650 kids, ages 4-12, from Cheney, Medical Lake, Airway Heights, Reardan, Davenport and Spangle.
