Council transfers money to pool fund

CHENEY – The City Council reallocated $451,900 to pay for the city pool project during its Sept. 24 meeting.

The transferred funds included $387,500 from the general fund, $64,400 from the light fund.

New Yoke’s opening delayed

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – The opening of the new Yoke’s Fresh Market here has been delayed until Oct. 14.

Originally set for August, the project at 11450 W. 12th Ave. was postponed largely due to ongoing construction of a roundabout and other road improvements, which are taking longer than expected, officials said.

City approves copier, asphalt contracts

CHENEY — The City Council approved two copier leases and an asphalt contract when it met Sept. 24.

One copier lease is for 60 months with Pacific Office Automation for a new copier in the municipal court. The other is a 63-month lease for $468.51 per month with Kelley Create for a copier in the Police Department.

In other contracts, the council approved paying Diamond Asphalt $23,240 to cover additional asphalt repairs.
