COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS ACCEPTED

Washington State law states that the City of Cheney may consider amendments to the Comprehensive Plan no more frequently than once a year. The Cheney Planning Department will accept proposals on Comprehensive Plan amendments beginning October 1, 2024 and continuing through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, for consideration during 2025. After this date, no other proposals will be accepted until next year. All applications for Comprehensive Plan Amendments must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $2,000 and a SEPA environmental checklist and associated fee of $150. If a change of the zoning map is requested, the applicant must also submit an Application for Zone Change and associated fee of $1,500 so the zone change may be considered concurrently with the comprehensive plan amendment.
