Indiana Avenue project begins

SPOKANE VALLEY – The City of Spokane Valley has begun construction on the Indiana Avenue Preservation Project on Monday, Sept. 23. The project is expected to take about six weeks to complete.

Crews will extend the concrete pavement on Indiana Avenue, starting from the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Sullivan Road and continuing about 800 feet to the east.

During construction, traffic on Indiana Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction. The I-90 off-ramp to Indiana Avenue will be closed, but the off-ramp to Sullivan Road will stay open, allowing drivers to turn right onto Sullivan Road for access to Indiana Avenue. Detour signs will be posted to help drivers navigate.
