Cheney boys fourth at Farragut
Farragut, Idaho — Despite no Sam or Calvin Hilton, the Cheney boys finished fourth in the Timberlake Farragut Invitational, Sept. 7.
The Blackhawks, behind the efforts of Cameron Frenk and his 10th-place finish in a time of 16 minutes, 18.06 seconds, earned 141 points behind Coeur d’Alene (41) in team standings.
Maximus Cervi-Skinner from Coeur d’Alene was the top individual at 15:12.68.
Brayden Martin (29/17:02.06), Holland Hurd (31/17:05.26) and Liam Frantzich (35/17:14.83) were other top Cheney finishers.
Hannah Ward topped a girls group (39/21:33.01) that were missing several team members. The girls were 16th (424 points) behind team champ Capital of Boise (70).
Cheney takes part in the Highlander Invite, Saturday at Shadle Park.

Cheney opens with shutout win
Cheney got a shutout performance from keeper Kiah Klauss and a pair of second period goals to earn a 2-0 soccer victory over Pullman, Sept. 9.
The Blackhawks got the lead in the 49th minute on a goal from Kinley Collins and added insurance at 61 minutes from Ally Deutsch.
Cheney hosted Ferris on Sept. 11 and were at Clarkston, Sept. 12 as the pre-season continues.
The Blackhawks original season opening game with Medical Lake onSept. 7 was cancelled after the Cardinals were unable to field a full team.
