Sealed bids for:

Lefevre St. Sidewalk Repair & Lighting - 2024

Will be received by The City of Medical Lake at the City’s Maintenance Bldg. at 851 S. Lefevre St. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud. One Contract is proposed for the entire work.

The proposed work includes:

The removal of approximately 1,620 s.y. of existing pavement, 1,930 s.y. of existing concrete sidewalks & driveways, 1,750’ of existing curb and curb & gutter, and the installation of 8 catch basins, 460 l.f. of 8” storm piping, 2 service connections & meter assemblies, 1,400 l.f. of 1” irrigation piping, 1,500 tons of crushed surfacing, 750 tons of Cl. 3/8” PG64H-28 hot mix asphalt, 1,200 l.f. of new curb, 950 l.f. of new curb & gutter, 1,400 s.y. of sidewalks, 450 s.y. of new driveways, and 19 handicap curb ramps. Also included are 4 fire hydrant relocations, 1 new hydrant, 350 l.f. of primary elec. duct bank, 3,000 l.f. of new elec. conduit & wire, 7 meter pedestals, 68 new decorative and cobra head lights, sod repair, temporary erosion control, temporary traffic control, and various other items of work and incidentals. It is intended that this project begin this fall and be completed next spring.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner.

No Bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty days of the actual date of the opening thereof.
