Endzone Club set to debut at Roos Field

Ready to use at first game on Aug. 29

CHENEY – While the idea of a remodeled or rebuilt Roos Field is firmly on the back burner at Eastern Washington University, it certainly has not cooled the need for improvements to the fan experience.

A step towards that will take place this football season with the introduction of the Bud Light Endzone Club Suites located in the scoreboard end of Roos.

Composed of a series of temporary structures so as not to interfere or damage the existing running track at the stadium, the new suites will make their debut Aug.29 when Eastern opens the 2024 season against the Monmouth Hawks from New Jersey.

"You know, it's no secret that athletics needs to generate more revenue, and one way to generate more revenue is to increase and improve the fan experience," Rickie Alvarez, Eastern's Associate Athletic Director for Development said.

The 16 suites sell for $9,000 per season, include six home games and each will accommodate 16 people. The package includes game tickets, two beverages, food and other amenities.

Currently about half of the units have been sold with another handful in the negotiation process, Alvarez indicated. Any left unsold for the season will be made available on a single game basis.

A sneak preview of the suites is planned for the annual West Plains Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Roos Field, Aug. 28 and the day before the home opener.

Some inspiration for the project may have come from Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman which has installed refurbished shipping containers for donors.

While those structures at Montana State are permanent, EWU version will be disassembled at the conclusion of the season.

Previously a portion of the space that will be used for the Endzone Club was devoted to a hospitality tent that was focused only on corporate partners.
