Summer Moonlight Movies

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – The Parks and Recreation Department has been hosting a series of outdoor movies this summer at Sunset Park, starting at dusk.

This family-friendly event, known as the Summer Moonlight Movies series, has been a way for the community to come together and enjoy some entertainment under the stars. With one more movie night left, there’s still an opportunity to join in on the fun.

The final movie of the summer will be the newer version of “Freaky Friday,” set to be shown on August 16.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their favorite snacks to make the experience even more enjoyable. These movies are free to the public.

Bluegrass Festival

MEDICAL LAKE – The city hosts their annual Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival, Aug. 9-11 at Waterfront Park.

Since its inception in 2002, Blue Waters has brought some of the biggest names in bluegrass music to the Inland Northwest, including the Seldom Scene, Dan Tyminski, the Steep Canyon Rangers and much more.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Medical Lake Bluegrass Festival is its commitment to preserving and celebrating the roots of bluegrass music. The festival features a lineup of both local and nationally renowned bluegrass bands, offering a diverse range of styles and interpretations of this genre.

There is a cost for admission.
