Town & Country Floral celebrates five years of blossoming business

Local florist with over 45 years experience

CHENEY – July marked a milestone for Town and Country Floral as it celebrated five years in business.

Sabrina Bosch, the owner, boasts over 45 years of experience in the floral industry, a passion that began in her youth.

As an eastern Washington native, Bosch’s inspiration for floral design stemmed from her grandmother, Eva. Her journey started with a daunting task from her grandmother: decorating a house for a funeral. “I had a budget and had to apply everything I had learned,” Bosch recalls. Her grandmother’s advice was simple yet profound: trust her instincts.

Bosch’s unconventional approach to designing floral arrangements proved successful, earning her accolades from that very first job.

After completing her studies at Walla Walla Community College, Bosch moved to San Francisco to further hone her skills, following her grandmother’s advice.

There, she immersed herself in the latest design trends and techniques, eventually surpassing her mentors in expertise, though not always receiving due recognition. This realization prompted Bosch to strike out on her own, establishing her shop after gaining extensive experience.

The opportunity to open a flower shop in Cheney came when Chet’s Flowers closed. Recognizing the timing was perfect, Bosch launched Town and Country Floral five years ago. Since then, she has become a cornerstone of the community, notably contributing to Eastern Washington University’s Pass Through the Pillars event each year.

“I have done hundreds of weddings and funerals over the years,” Bosch shared. “Each one holds special memories for me.” She notes that her busiest times are during Mother’s Day, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and graduations, though there’s always something happening in Cheney.

Bosch is also active with the Children’s Miracle Network. Town and Country Floral offers more than just floral arrangements; they create their own truffles, and fruit baskets, and other treat-filled baskets.

Bosch grows some of her flowers on her farm, sourcing rare blooms from around the world as needed.

“We also deliver flowers and baskets globally,” Bosch explained. “Orders come in from all over the world to be delivered here at home.”

Looking ahead, Bosch dreams of retiring to travel the world and spend more time with her horses. But the question remains: will she ever truly give up creating floral arrangements for others?
