Crime Check goes in effect in Cheney

CHENEY– The Police Department transitioned to the Spokane Regional Emergency Communications for dispatch services Tuesday, July 9.

With the new system, police will also be implementing a new computer system.

Previously, the department operated its own dispatching and computer systems.

The transition will enhance collaboration and safety for their officers by enabling seamless communication with surrounding agencies, including the Spokane County Sheriff, Spokane Police and Airway Heights.
