Aerial fireworks light up Airway Heights sky

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – Area residents came together Thursday, July 4, to celebrate U.S. independence with a dazzling display of fireworks.

Rockets wheezed upward into the dark sky, exploding in a sprinkle of various colored lights that floated gracefully back to the ground. Families were seen at almost every block, joining in the joyous celebration, according to a resident.

While neighborhood displays were impressive, Northern Quest Resort and Casino, in collaboration with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians, stole the show.

For the first time ever, they announced an Independence Day drone and fireworks show at its outdoor venue.

The event drew more than 1,000 spectators who surrounded the perimeter of Northern Quest. Many sat on the hoods of their cars or remained inside, watching the show with their family members.

The excitement was palpable as the sky lit up with a spectacular combination of the modern drone light show and the traditional fireworks.

Drones took to the sky, creating breathtaking images of a moving American eagle, a military person saluting and the American flag waving proudly with drone fireworks illuminating the scene above.

Tribal and other forms of music echoed through the venue, adding a rich cultural layer to the

celebration.

The Independence Day event at Northern Quest not only entertained but also united the community in a shared experience, highlighting the spirit of independence and the beauty of modern technology coming together in a memorable display.
