City offers business information class

SPOKANE – Business owners, operators, and entrepreneurs seeking insights into navigating the intricacies of permitting, business licensing, public works bidding, and related transactions with the City of Spokane Valley, are urged to participate in a complimentary one-hour event scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.

Advanced registration is mandatory for both in-person attendance at the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, located at 10808 E. Sprague Avenue in Spokane Valley, and virtual participation via Zoom. Attendees are encouraged to join in person.

Embarking on endeavors such as launching a building project, initiating a new business venture, or vying for a government contract is an exhilarating journey for entrepreneurs. Making informed decisions can propel business growth and unlock new opportunities. Following prescribed protocols and leveraging expert guidance can streamline processes and heighten the likelihood of success.

Through this webinar, the City and Chamber aim to assemble a panel of seasoned resources to aid businesses and entrepreneurs in navigating business licenses, permits, and strategic planning, while explaining the intricacies of bidding for and obtaining certification to engage in municipal or other government contracts.

Distinguished presenters include city Building Official Jenny Nickerson, city Business License Specialist Robin Holt, WA APEX Accelerator Government Contracting Assistance Specialist Aleesha Roedel, with moderation by City of Spokane Valley Economic Development Specialist Susan Nielsen.
