West Plains youth sell livestock

Highlighting the top achievers in the pig division

SPOKANE – The recent junior livestock sale held on Saturday, May 4th, showcased the hard work and dedication of young exhibitors from various clubs and chapters across Spokane County. Participants from FFA and 4-H clubs presented their finest swine, competing for top honors and respectable prices.

Among the notable winners were:

• Abigail Cole from Medical Lake FFA, whose pig fetched $3.00 per pound, totaling $726.00 for a 242-pound specimen.

• Jolena Naccarato, also from Medical Lake FFA, earned $3.25 per pound for her 251-pound pig, totaling $815.75.

• Violet Smith of Tekoa Clover 4-H Club clinched an impressive $3.50 per pound for her 266-pound swine, amounting to $931.00.

• Rubi Ramirez represented Tekoa FFA, commanding $5.00 per pound for her 270-pound pig, resulting in a substantial $1,350.00.

• Nissi Bone of Tekoa Clover 4-H Club secured $3.25 per pound for her 241-pound pig, totaling $783.25.

• Carter Ray from Reardan Livestock 4-H Club received $2.75 per pound for a 258-pound pig, reaching a sum of $709.50.

• Amelia Ray, also from Reardan FFA, saw her 244-pound pig sold at $3.00 per pound, totaling $732.00.

• Audrey Ray, hailing from Reardan Livestock 4-H Club, achieved $3.25 per pound for her 260-pound pig, totaling $845.00.

• Kassidy Koch of Reardan FFA garnered $5.00 per pound for her 258-pound pig, bringing in $1,290.00.

• Weston Wagner, representing Reardan Livestock 4-H Club, realized $3.50 per pound for his 264-pound pig, amounting to $924.00.

• Lilly Kelm from West Plains Rangers 4-H exhibited a 269-pound pig, fetching $2.75 per pound and totaling $739.75.

• Addison Miller of West Plains Rangers 4-H achieved $3.00 per pound for her 268-pound pig, totaling $804.00.

• Aiden Miller, also from West Plains Rangers 4-H, participated in an online sale, earning $3.25 per pound for a 286-pound pig, totaling $929.50.

• Carter Sexton from Liberty FFA fetched $3.50 per pound for his 288-pound pig, bringing in $1,008.00.

• Izabella Myers, also from Liberty FFA, commanded an impressive $5.00 per pound for her 280-pound pig, totaling $1,400.00.

• Brenna Tiegs of Liberty FFA secured $4.50 per pound for her 297-pound pig, resulting in a remarkable $1,336.50.

• Karley Tiegs, also from Liberty FFA, achieved $5.25 per pound for her 263-pound pig, bringing in $1,380.75.

These achievements reflect the dedication of the young exhibitors and demonstrate the strong support and encouragement from their respective clubs and chapters.
