Brothers Kaison and Kaden Rudy both scored goals for Medical Lake in the Cardinal win over the Northwest Christian (Colbert) Crusaders.
MEDICAL LAKE - A dramatic overtime win highlighted Medical Lake's perfect week of play in Northeast A League soccer.
The Cardinals (7-3 NEA, 9-6 overall) began the week by topping Northwest Christian (Colbert), 2-1, on April 16 and followed with wins of 9-2 against Newport on April 18 and 5-0 over Colville on April 19.
Medical Lake got goals from brothers Kaden and Kaison Rudy in the win over Northwest Christian (Colbert) with Kaden Rudy scoring on a penalty kick in overtime for the win.
This was the first sweep of the Crusaders (8-2, 9-4) since the Crusaders joined the league several years ago.
Kaden Rudy scored three times and Mavrick Rasmussen a pair against Newport (1-8, 2-9). Tyson Clark, Josh Haynes, Josh Henry and Alex Marsh scored one apiece.
The Cardinals celebrated senior night under the lights at Holliday Field where Kaden Rudy scored twice and singles from Marsh, Rasmussen and Cody Peterson.
Alex Grumbaugh earned the shutout against Colville.
Medical Lake sits in third place with two games to play this week April 23 at Deer Park (5-4) and April 27 at home against 5-4 Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) at 11 a.m.
