One driver pronounced dead at scene
SPOKANE VALLEY – A collision between a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze on North Argonne Road resulted in the loss of one life and left another individual with serious injuries on April 12. Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies swiftly responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
Eyewitness accounts and evidence collected at the site suggest that the Dodge Ram, driven by a man, was heading northbound, while the Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Amanda Fuller, 28, was traveling southbound on North Argonne Road, just north of East Bigelow Gulch Road.
Tragically, as the vehicles neared each other, Fuller veered across the double yellow center line in a curve, leading to a head-on collision with the Dodge Ram in the northbound lane.
Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and there were no signs of impairment. However, authorities are considering speed and inattention as potential contributing factors to this incident.
Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Fuller and ruled her cause of death to be accidental blunt force trauma on April 15.
