William "Bill" Milton Miller

April 9, 1948

William "Bill" Milton Miller died peacefully in his home in Cheney, Wash., surrounded by his family following complications of lung cancer at the age of 75.

Bill was the second eldest child born to Wiliam and Dorothy Miller at Deaconess hospital on April 9, 1948.

He attended Garden Springs Elementary School, Windsor, and then Cheney High School, where he met his future wife of 55 years- Jacki Miller.

They married following graduation on Sept. 7, 1968.

Bill and Jacki had three children Patti, Shelli (deceased), and Bill. They raised them in Cheney at the family home on Andrus Road.

Bill was an electrical contractor by trade and was very active in his community. He strove to make everyone he met smile and was always quick with a joke and a laugh.

He was fondly referred to as "Wild" Bill.

Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, either landscaping his property, tending to his garden, or going fishing with his friends and son.

His largest passion however was music, especially music by his favorite artist Neil Young.  He never turned down the opportunity to see live music, and greatly enjoyed sharing his passion with others by hosting live bands at his home for neighborhood parties.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jacki Miller; siblings, Barbara Carlson, Cherly Behrens, Ron Miller, Darrel Miller and Janet Stromberger; children, Patti (Miller) Hendrickson and Bill Miller; and granddaughters, Brittany Miller, Frances Miller, and Sylvia Miller. He was well-known and well loved by many.

Words can not sum up his full life or the impact he has made on the lives around him. He will be sorely missed.

Bill's memorial will be hosted by Cheney Funeral Home, 1632 W First St., Cheney, WA 99004), at 4 p.m. April 13, 2024, followed by a celebration of life reception at the Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St., Cheney, WA 99004.

If so inclined, bulbs or small plants accepted for a memorial garden in Bill's honor.
