Medical Lake man missing southeast of Northport

NORTHPORT - A Medical Lake man is believed to still be missing in a heavily-forested area southeast of Northport and west of Metaline Falls, in rural Stevens County.

Jason Anderson, 24, of Medical Lake was reported missing Feb. 20, according to the Stevens County Sheriff's Office. He was last seen in the Deep Lake area where his family owns a cabin. Authorities located his vehicle, but have yet to find Anderson, who is described as 5-foot-11, weighing about 190 pounds, the Sheriff's Office reported. He has brown hair and eyes.

On social media, Stephanie Anderson thanked those supporting the family.

"I just want to express how grateful and overwhelmed we are at the support from our friends, family and communities," she wrote. "Please continue to share his photo and information, if you have any new leads please contact Steven's County sheriff's department. Keep Jason in your thoughts and prayers."
