Dec 4,1951- Dec 29, 2023

Richard "Rich" Reid Reiman, 72, of Cheney, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 29, 2023.

He was born to George and Lorrine Reiman on Dec. 4, 1951, in Longview, Wash. Rich attended elementary school in Amboy, Wash., where he developed a strong work ethic helping on their family farm, and he kindled a lifelong passion for sports. His graceful athleticism on the basketball court caught the eye of his dream girl, Lori. From sweethearts in high school through 50 years of marriage, friends and family often admired the pair's special connection and resilience.

After graduating from Battle Ground High School in 1970, Rich pursued his interest in business at Washington State University, earning his degree in 1974. He began his career working for Les Schwab Tires, continuing with the company for more than 30 years. In 1982, he moved with his wife and two children to Cheney, where he opened and managed the tire store until he retired in 2010.

Rich loved watching college sports, traveling to sunny destinations, and playing golf. He enjoyed growing plants and trees, and trying new foods. He shared many fun memories with his grandkids, always being attentive, gentle and patient. He had a quiet spirit, rarely complained to others, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Stephanie (Tony) Munson; son, Jeff (Michelle) Reiman; grandchildren Vanessa, Zachary, Emma, and Lilly; brother, Jim (Nancie) Reiman; sister, Marline (Lee DeBrish) Riehle; brothers-in-law Carl (Denise) Waldow, and David (Sandi) Waldow; uncle, Roy Reiman; extended family Christopher Hasenkamp, and Jessica and Parker Guest; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

As per Rich's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held at this time.
