Man indicted for dealing drugs at casino

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – A federal grand jury has indicted a many believed to have been trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine at a local casino.

Charles Lee Dickerson has been indicted on one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams of actual methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute 40 grams of fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney Vanessa R. Waldref.

Court records show that on Nov. 20, Kalispel tribal gaming authority officials monitoring surveillance cameras at Northern Quest Resort and Casino had a security camera video of an alleged drug deal in the parking lot.

Kalispel police reviewed the video and observed a man, later identified as Dickerson, smoking off a foil while seated in a red Jeep Trackhawk, records show. Officers also saw what appeared to be an exchange between Dickerson and another man.

Police detained Dickerson and asked for consent to search him and a satchel he was carrying, records show. The search turned up approximately 12 grams of cocaine.

Dickerson also had 136 multi-colored, fentanyl-laced pills, called “Skittles” on the street, in his pocket, records show. His satchel contained $18,000 in cash.

During questioning at the Spokane Drug Enforcement Agency District Office, Dickerson said a man had given him a quantity of meth and 10,000 pills from Mexico and that it would be found in the Jeep Trackhawk, records show. Agents searched the vehicle and found 1 pound of meth, thousands of multi-color pills believed to contain fentanyl and a quantity of cocaine.
