CHENEY – Henry Browne has been selected as the 2024 School Board president.
Browne emerged as the unanimous choice during the Dec. 13 School Board meeting that included selection of officers.
Browne, a business manager with nearly 24 years at the state Department of Corrections, brings a wealth of experience to the leadership role. And this isn’t his first stint as School Board president; he previously held the position from 2015-2018.
Mitch Swenson, the previous president, stepped down. He was recently re-elected to the board in 2023 and has been serving on the board since 2015.
Although absent from the meeting, board member Mark Scott was elected vice president.
Elected to the board in 2021, he replaces Browne in that position.
Elizabeth Winer was elected to be the new legislative representative.
Newly elected to the board in November 2023, she replaces Stacy Nicol.
