Local business promotional vehicle stolen

SPOKANE VALLEY - Justin J. Jaquith was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Nov. 12. He was also charged for a misdemeanor warrant for not having a valid license and operating a vehicle without a valid title.

Morning of November 12th a bright green advertising truck for No-Li Brewery's Big Juicy IPA, was reported stolen.

Approximately 1:30 pm Spokane Valley deputies responded to a tip regarding the stolen vehicle at 147000 block of E. Indiana Ave, which is the Spokane Valley Mall.

When deputies arrived they blocked any avenue of escape to the rear of the truck. When deputies identified Jaquith, he followed commands and was safely taken into custody.

Jaquith's story was, he was at a friend's house when he heard a car racing by.

Jaquith said he confronted the male driver and asked about the truck and why he was treating the truck so poorly. Jaquith offered to buy the truck off of the man for $150, and the male driver accepted.

Jaquith did not receive a bill of sale; he also explained to deputies that the logo had already been spray painted.

After deputies investigated the truck they had taken note of the door lock being damaged, pry marks around the locking mechanism and the door. The ignition was damaged and a red can of spray paint was found in the truck.

A surveillance video of the theft was given to deputies. Based off of the video does not show that Jaquith is the initial thief, but that has not been verified at this time.

The investigation into the theft continues and additional arrest or charges are possible.
