Community gearing up for Homecoming

CHENEY - Homecoming week is approaching, and the anticipation is growing as Eastern Washington University and local businesses prepare to join forces for a week of festivities and fun.

The organizing committee is on the lookout for at least five volunteers to oversee a range of giant games, including chess, checkers, Jenga, Connect 4, and cornhole. Businesses and individuals eager to lend a hand are encouraged to step forward and get involved.

This volunteering opportunity not only promises a great time but also offers a chance to promote your business by setting up a table next to the games or giving out fliers.

Businesses located in the downtown area are also urged to consider extending their operating hours on Thursday, 10/19, until 9 pm.

While it may not be the busiest evening, this gesture will help raise awareness among students and community members about the presence and location of these businesses.
