Restoring Hope fundraiser a success

MEDICAL LAKE – The community came together Sept. 23 for the Restoring Hope fundraiseron Lake Street.

Organized in partnership with Re*Imagine Medical Lake and the Cheney Firefighters Benevolent Fund, the event raised funds to provide support to Gray Fire victims.

Lake Street was transformed into a hub of hope and solidarity.

Bella’s Creative Learning Center’s parking lot became the epicenter of activities, featuring live and silent auctions, and even a thrilling Ninja Warriors Competition.

The Ninja Mobile Obstacle Course catered to both children and adults. Families could challenge themselves and each other, all for a good cause.

The Ninja Warriors Competition kicked off at noon and continued until 6 p.m., providing ample opportunities for participants to test their agility and determination.

For $1, individuals could take on the course once; for $10, they could enjoy unlimited runs.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. Spokane Aerials wowed the crowd with its breathtaking performances, adding an extra layer of entertainment to an already action-packed day.

Adding to the lively atmosphere was the musical talent of Jordan Cole, a well-known local DJ who has previously lent his skills to Medical Lake events. His music kept the spirits high throughout the day.

The core mission of the “Restoring Hope” fundraiser was clear – to provide support to members of the community who had been impacted by the Gray Fire.

Every dollar raised from the event – including the sale of 500 specially designed Restoring Hope T-shirts – wen t directly to those in need.

Organizing an event of this scale was no small feat, especially considering the tireless efforts of individuals like Chris.

The main challenge was the time constraint, as Chris and others had been working tirelessly to support the affected families since the fire occurred.

As one organizer aptly put it, “I couldn’t be prouder of my community.”
