SPOKANE VALLEY - Search efforts by the Spokane Valley Deputies to locate Daniel A. Pronkin, 22 have come up empty. Pronkin’s unexplained disappearance and the discovery of his abandoned vehicle in the Dishman Hills area have spurred an intensive search operation that has so far yielded no trace of the young man.
Pronkin was last seen leaving his home on N. Willow Road in Spokane Valley on September 6, authorities discovered his red 2002 Honda Civic abandoned in the Dishman Hills area, heightening worries for his safety.
Spokane Valley Deputies started an investigation into Pronkin’s disappearance after discovering his unoccupied and locked 2002 Honda Civic in the parking lot at 8509 Appleway Blvd. Records show security personnel working in the area reported that a suspicious vehicle had been there since September 7.
Inside the vehicle, authorities found Pronkin’s cell phone and wallet, but there was no sign of the missing man.
The Spokane Valley Deputies, utilizing unmanned aerial systems (UAS), conducted an extensive search of the heavily wooded Dishman Hills area, but their efforts yielded no clues about Pronkin’s location. Additionally, attempts to broadcast public address announcements went unanswered, prompting a foot search by deputies, which, unfortunately, did not lead to finding Pronkin.
Daniel A Pronkin is described as a 22 year old white male, standing at 5’7” and weighing 165 lbs. He has brown hair, and brown eyes, and is known to wear glasses. He was last seen wearing a black/grey shirt and dark pants.
It is unknown if Daniel Pronkin is in the Dishman Hills area or if he left with someone and is possibly somewhere else. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.

Investigators are working to see if this case is connected to an unattended death case about a body found in Dishman Hills.
With the initial information gathered last night at the scene, Investigators believe the decedent could be the missing person, but again, the official identification, which does take time to complete, will be determined by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
