LIBERTY LAKE — The Council met for their regular meeting on Aug. 1 to discuss workshop items, dispatch general business and to vote on resolutions.
Workshop discussion items included a Transportation Benefit District Review, and the status of Mission Avenue repairs, Phase 2.
General business included the approval of the July 18, 2023 meeting minutes, which was unanimously accepted; the approval of the August 1, 2023 vouchers, July 1-15, which was approved unanimously; authorization of payment of the Winter Glow invoice in the amount of $10,000, which was approved unanimously; an authorization for the Mayor to sign the three-year Greenstone Foundation agreement and expenditure of $19,000 for the Spokane Symphony in 2023, $20,000 in 2024, and $21,000 in 2025, which was unanimously approved as well.
Additionally, the council authorized by unanimous consent that the Mayor sign the three-year agreement for dance classes in the park provided by Satori Dance and Wellness and a three-year agreement for Liberty Lake Pickleball League, LLC provided by Greg Woodman. G. Ratify the acceptance of funding agreement for a surface transportation grant for the E Mission Avenue overlay in the amount of $1,061,550.
The Mayor was also authorized to sign the MOU between Spokane Region participating local governments and the Spokane Regional Health Administrative Services Organization.
