Everett shuts out South Hill

Moves forward in little league tournament

MEDICAL LAKE – Strong pitching behind the arm of Everett's Conor Veals shut down the South Hill All Stars from Puyallup at Holliday Field on July 20.

This game was the first of two games played on day six of the State Little League Juniors Tournament, and it was a landslide victory with District One champions Everett winning 12-0.

Conor Veals got the win, and he was shutting down South Hill bats from the start.

Zach Shoch started the game pitching for South Hill, the District 10 champions. He held his own for the first two innings, only allowing one run to cross the plate.

Everett batters had him figured out after that and gradually increased the lead.

After winning this, Everett will go on to face either Willapa Harbor or Mercer Island July 21 at 6 p.m.

Willapa Harbor and Mercer Island are set to face off July 20 at 6 p.m.
