Rosalia Battle Days

ROSALIA — Rosalia will host their annual Battle Days from Friday, June 2, through Saturday, June 3.

Events kick off on Friday at 5 p.m. with a family night at Rosalia Park featuring music by “Just Plain Darin,” with hot dogs and beverages available.

Battle Days Secretary Lori Furman stated that this is the first year they’ve added the Family Fun Night, and the city pool is open for the entire weekend.

Rosalia Pool Manager Piper Dickenson shared that the pool will have several games they’re sponsoring Friday and Saturday evening, including water basketball, three-on-three on the regular basketball court, egg races, sack races, three-legged races, tug of war, and horseshoes.

Dickens said they’d added some new features to the pool, including stairs and a basketball hoop.

“We’re doing a raffle for season pass tickets,” she said, adding that announcement of the winners is on Saturday evening.

“Bring your folding chairs or a lawn blanket and join us for great music, fun, swimming, food, and games,” Furman said.

Also, at 5 p.m., a Vendor Fair setup is available.

All-day Saturday activities include a Garden Club Plant Sale, 4-H Lemonade Stand, the Rosalia Museum, and Inland Empire Barrel Racing at the Rodeo Grounds.

At 7 a.m., a Scout Breakfast will occur at the Fire Station and the set up of the Vendor Fair at Old Texaco. The Vendor Fair occurs at 9 a.m.

Sign up for the Fun Run and Kids Run at the Fire Station at 7 a.m., which will occur at 8 a.m.

From 9 to 10 a.m., the sign-in for the main parade will occur at the Catholic Church.

A 3 Forks Bicycle Safety Check is happening at 9:30 a.m., and at 10 a.m., there is a Budding Rose Gallery Student Art Show.

Kids will line up at the library for the Kid’s Parade, “All Together Now,” at 10:15 a.m., after the Battle Days Main Parade takes place at 11 a.m.

There is a BBQ Lunch at the Fire Station and Bingo at Noon.

After the parade, family games are available, and a 3 Forks Bicycle Obstacle Course on Whitman Avenue by the Brass Rail.

The parade’s Grand Marshals this year are Don and Judy Littleton.

“They have been wonderful community supporters over the many years they’ve lived and worked here,” Furman said.

Furman said they look forward to a sunny and amazing event this year.

“Ice cream wagon is coming,” she added, noting that all their favorites are happening this year.

“Our local businesses, old and new, will be open and are looking forward to meeting all of you,” she said.
