LIBERTY LAKE – Following play in district competition May 8 at MeadowWood golf course in Liberty Lake, the Medical Lake girls golf team will send two players to the state tournament in Chehalis.
Kali Rowe finished the tournament with a two-day score of 181, which was the best score for the Cardinal girls.
“Rowe’s first place finish earned her the District MVP award, which is basically District Champion, and a spot to compete in the state tournament,” head coach Jerry Ornelas reported.
Madi Spring earned an alternate spot to the state tournament after finishing her round with a two-round score of 215 and being tied with another competitor.
The pair will travel to the state tournament which will be held at Riverside Golf Club on May 23 and 24.
