SPOKANE — A man who was charged with two counts of first-degree animal cruelty and one count of unlawful operation of a commercial kennel in August of 2022 has moved to dismiss the charges, according to court documents.
Gregory Hauser, man 47, has moved to dismiss charges filed against him by the state in Aug of last year for misconduct and mismanagement on the part of the court, according to court documents.
The request for dismissal and to suppress evidence generated by Spokane County Regional Protection Service was made as a sanction for SCRAPS officers having suppressed exculpatory evidence beneficial to Hauser, according to the motion to dismiss.
According to court documents, Hauser was brought up on the aforementioned charges for actions testified to by several animal protections officers entered into record.
The charges against Hauser state that he had, on or about August of 2021, had engaged in criminal negligence of animals and operated a commercial kennel without a license.
