CHENEY —Salnave Elementary School was locked down and the area closed off during a standoff in the 100 block of Pineview Place on Wednesday, April 19.
Daniel Devenport, man 51, was taken into custody without incident after near three hours.
According to police, officers responded to the call about 1:30 p.m. after receiving a tip that a man was armed with guns and a knife, and threatening to kill himself.
The man, later identified as Daniel Devenport, had barricaded himself in a home and refused to come out, police said. Devenport and his wife wrestled over a gun which he had threatened to hurt...
