Medical Lake drops three
Medical Lake baseball has had to roll along this season relying on a notable number of underclassmen for its success.
But opponents of the Cardinals last week seemed to find where to poke a hole in the tire to slow them down a bit.
Medical Lake bounced out of spring break with three Northeast A League losses, seeing their record fall to 8-6 and 3-3 in the NEA.

Colville’s Fox Bateman hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth, part of a there-run inning, to erase a 2-1 ML lead. The Crimson Hawks would add an insurance run in the sixth and then keep the Cardinals from taking advantage of a bases-loaded seventh to earn the win.
Luke Dickey had a pair of hits for Medical Lake, including. Double. He also spent five innogings on the mound.
Bateman was also a presence on the mound where he pitched into the seventh and struck out eight.
Deer Park (7-0 NEA, 10-3 overall) got all the runs they needed in the top of the third in game one. They limited Medical Lake to just one hit, that by Tyler Oliver.
