CHENEY – The Cheney Congregational church is holding an April 9 Easter service at 10 a.m. at 423 North Sixth Street. There will be a breakfast served beforehand at 8:30 a.m. and Miller said that everyone is welcome.
On Thursdays from 1-2 p.m. the church is hosting a mid-week Bible study in collaboration with United Methodist Church on the gospel of Mark. Each Thursday in March the congregation will meet at the United Methodist Church.
• Benge Community Church will host a sunrise Easter service at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 9.
The service will take place on Cow Creek, about 1 mile north of town at 136 S. Mack Road on the Hill of the 3 Crosses.
The keynote speaker at the service will be Jerry Snyder.• Cheney Community Church will host Palm Sunday Service on April 2 at 10 a.m. at 1307 Third Street which will include a special performance from the Children’s Church.
The following week will include Son Rise service at the Hien’s home at 6 a.m. and Good Friday services at the Four Lakes Community Church at 6:30 p.m. Easter Sunday breakfast will be held at the church at 1307 Third Street at 8:30 a.m.–9:45 a.m. with Easter service to follow at 10 a.m.
The Women’s breakfast will be held Saturday April 1 at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall at the church.
Spring break will be from April 3– and most of the church activities will be held during that time, according to church administration.
• Cheney Faith Center is holding a good Friday faith experience on April 7 at 11 a.m. at 300 North Second Street. On Sunday April 9 they will hold a sunrise service at 6 a.m. with additional services to follow at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11 a.m.
• Cheney Church of the Nazarene is holding a “Son Rise Service” at 8:52 a.m. on April 9 at 338 West Betz Road with an Easter breakfast 9:32 a.m. There will be a regular celebration at 10:30 a.m. and an egg-hunt for children 12 years old and younger to follow.
