SPOKANE — A former resident who had previously been arrested several times for violating orders of protection was arrested in Spokane on March 21 on charges of child rape and molestation, possession of explicit depictions of a minor, and second-degree assault.
Morey, man 46, is currently in the Spokane County jail on a total bond of $100,000, and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on April 4.
On March 20 a warrant was issued for Morey’s arrest on the grounds that it was suspected he would not appear in court or would commit a violent offense. The following day Morey was arrested in Spokane.
The Airway Heights police department issued a press release stating that Morey had been the subject of an ongoing investigation which took place over the course of nearly a year.
