AIRWAY HEIGHTS — A local man awaits sentencing on charges of third-degree rape of a child and second-degree child molestation at the Spokane County jail without the option of bond, according to court documents.
Mardy A.A. Moreno, man 31, is currently awaiting sentencing on April 19, 2023, for crimes that occurred over several years in Airway Heights, according to a press release issued by the Airway Heights police department.
Moreno plead guilty to these charges on Feb. 23, according to court documents, which read that Moreno refused to give a statement and instead gave the court permission to review the relevant police reports and statement of probable cause to establish the basis for his plea.
According to the Airway Heights police department, Moreno will also be required to register as a sex offender in the future.
